Although my time with them was short, doing less with the mothers and their foams still created a sense of connection, and they seemed more relaxed in my presence.

Aunque fue corto el tiempo que estuve con ellos, al hacer menos con las mamás y sus crías se sintió mayor conexión, y ellas estaban más relajadas con mi presencia.

That day I didn’t have much time to be with them, so I chose to spend more time with the mothers and their foams, and only stopped by to greet the herd.
With the mothers and their foams, they were finishing what seemed to be their dinner. They really liked the food, as they kept licking the basket even after there was nothing left. I entered the field and stayed a bit farther away to let them finish eating peacefully. After that, some of them became interested in me: Alma and Wakan. I practiced “Wait,” “Hello,” and “Stop” with them. It was interesting, especially with Wakan, who is still a bit impertinent. Then I did the same with Vida when she wanted to approach. After that, I tried greeting Inca a couple of times; she eventually greeted me timidly. She was glancing at me sideways, watching my interactions with the others. At one point, Alma came over to me and stayed nearby eating; Vida did the same. Then I left.
With the herd, they were farther away and lifted their heads to see who was arriving. When they saw me, they stayed where they were. I approached and greeted Luna first; she responded attentively and might have wanted to connect more, but I left her there. Then I tried with Amir, but he didn’t want to greet me. At that moment, Mary passed near me but veered off and stayed farther away. Frea also didn’t want to greet me, and finally Flash did accept my greeting. I left them, and that was it for that day.

Ese día no tenía mucho tiempo para estar con ellos, así que preferí compartir más con las mamás y sus crías, y solo pasé a saludar a la manada.
Con las mamás y sus crías, ellas estaban terminando de comer lo que parecía ser la cena. Les gustaba mucho el preparado, pues se quedaron lamiendo el canasto incluso cuando ya no quedaba comida. Entré al campo y me fui un poco lejos para dejarlas terminar tranquilas. Después de eso, algunas se interesaron por mí: Alma y Wakan. Entonces estuve practicando con ellas “Esperar”, “Saludar” y “Parar”. Fue interesante, principalmente con Wakan, que sigue un poco impertinente. Luego hice lo mismo con Vida, cuando quiso acercarse. Después intenté saludar un par de veces a Inca, que finalmente me saludó tímidamente. Me miraba de reojo, observando mi interacción con los demás. En un momento, Alma vino hacia mí y estuvo comiendo cerca; lo mismo hizo Vida. Luego me fui.
Con la manada, ellos estaban lejos y levantaron sus cabezas para ver quién estaba llegando. Cuando me vieron, se quedaron donde estaban. Me acerqué y saludé primero a Luna, que respondió con atención y tal vez habría querido conectar más, pero la dejé ahí. Luego intenté con Amir, pero no quiso saludarme; en ese momento, Mary pasó cerca de mí, pero se desvió y se quedó más lejos. Frea tampoco quiso saludarme y, por último, Flash sí aceptó mi saludo. Los dejé, y eso fue todo ese día.
