GOAL

•  That the horses begin to follow my intention in movement, maintaining freedom and choice, while strengthening the energetic connection. The goal is not for them to follow me yet, but for them to start noticing my movement as something safe and valuable, something they can choose, so that when they are ready, following me arises naturally.

OBJETIVO

• Que los caballos comiencen a seguir mi intención en movimiento, manteniendo libertad y elección, y reforzando la conexión energética. El objetivo no es que me sigan todavía, sino que comiencen a notar mi movimiento como algo seguro y valioso, que ellos pueden elegir, de manera que, cuando estén listos, seguirme surja de forma natural.

LESSON

• I’ve felt something different in our encounters: I feel that they seem to be beginning to accept my leadership. It’s clear that they want to approach and follow me, but they’re not completely sure yet. I notice it because now they look at me from a distance, their expression showing that they want to come; they come together, like a herd. They no longer seem to need to smell me to test my energy; now I feel that they do it more to connect with me.

• An indicator that Flash is beginning to consider me as a leader is that, at one point, he approached and seemed willing to follow me. However, after walking alongside me, he decided to continue at his own pace, passing by without stopping. This suggests that he is starting to show interest in being part of my space and even in responding to my invitation. It also shows that they are learning to read my intentions and that my presence is beginning to be respected and considered within their world, which is an important step for the joint dance.

APRENDIZAJE

• He sentido algo distinto en nuestros encuentros: siento que ellos parecen estar empezando a aceptar mi liderazgo. Se nota que quieren acercarse y seguirme, pero aún no están del todo seguros. Lo percibo porque ahora me miran desde lejos y su expresión es como de querer venir; vienen juntos, como manada. Parecen ya no necesitar olfatearme para testear mi energía; ahora siento que lo hacen más bien para sentirme.

• Un indicador de que Flash está empezando a considerarme como líder es que, en un momento, se acercó y parecía querer seguirme. Sin embargo, después de caminar a mi lado, decidió seguir su propio ritmo, pasando junto a mí sin detenerse. Esto sugiere que está comenzando a interesarse en formar parte de mi espacio e incluso en responder a mi invitación. También muestra que están aprendiendo a leer mis intenciones y que mi presencia empieza a ser respetada y considerada dentro de su mundo, lo cual es un paso importante para la danza conjunta.

EXPERIENCE HIGHLIGHTS

• When I arrived, Frea was alone by the fence, while other horses from the neighboring corral were nearby. The herd was at the far end of the field. I went in and approached her; we spent some time together, like companions, while also watching the horses on the other side. We had a bit of contact and some play. Then the horses saw me and came running. It seemed that Mary was the first to run, which made the others come running as well. The funny thing was that they stopped at a certain distance from me, as if recognizing me and showing respect. That day, I was more open to them coming and interacting more freely, and I also communicated my movements more clearly. At one point, they came closer to where I was. That day, I decided to approach them more and, if I sensed any invitation, respond with some contact. I did this with Frea, Amir, Mary, and finally with Luna. I felt very comfortable with them at all times, and they also trusted me. I noticed that Amir is more integrated into the group now, although he seemed a bit down and was breathing heavily while eating.

• At one point, I noticed that Flash stood for quite a while staring at the horizon. He wasn’t sleeping; it seemed like he was reflecting on something related to me and our relationship. I didn’t fully understand what was going on, so I went over to him and we connected for a while. At times, I invited him to follow me; it seemed like he was, but then he would move ahead and leave me behind, as if he didn’t want to give in to following me. I tried the same with Amir and others, but there wasn’t a clear response.

• Later, I called the group to go to the far end of the pasture, but they didn’t come. I explored the area alone, imagining how nice it would have been if they had joined me. When I returned, I shared with them what I had discovered and that going there together would remain for the next encounter.

DESTACADOS DE LA EXPERIENCIA

• Cuando llegué, Frea estaba sola en la cerca, mientras otros caballos del corral vecino estaban cerca. La manada estaba al fondo del campo. Entré y me acerqué a ella; estuvimos un rato juntas, como compañeras, mientras también observábamos a los caballos del otro lado. Tuvimos algo de contacto y un poco de juego. Luego los caballos me vieron y vinieron corriendo. Parece que Mary fue la primera en correr lo que hizo que los demás también vinieran corriendo. Lo divertido fue que se detuvieran a cierta distancia de mí, como reconociéndome y mostrando respeto. Ese día estaba más abierta a que vinieran y a interactuar con ellos más libremente, además de comunicar mis movimientos con más claridad. En un momento, ellos se acercaron donde yo estaba. Ese día decidí acercarme más a ellos y, si percibía alguna invitación, responder con algún contacto. Hice esto con Frea, Amir, Mary y, por último, con Luna. En todo momento me sentí muy a gusto con ellos, y ellos también confiaban en mí. Noté que Amir ya está más integrado al grupo, aunque parecía un poco apagado y respiraba con fuerza mientras comía.

• En un momento, noté que Flash estuvo bastante tiempo parado mirando al horizonte. No estaba durmiendo; parecía que estaba reflexionando sobre algo relacionado conmigo y nuestra relación. No entendí del todo qué le pasaba, así que me acerqué a él y nos conectamos un rato. En algunos momentos lo invité a seguirme; parecía que lo hacía, pero luego se adelantaba y me dejaba atrás, como si no quisiera ceder a seguirme. Intenté lo mismo con Amir y otros, pero no hubo una respuesta clara.

• Más tarde llamé al grupo para ir al fondo del pasto, pero no vinieron. Estuve sola explorando lo que había allí, imaginando que hubiera sido lindo que ellos me acompañaran. Cuando volví, les transmití lo que había descubierto y que quedaría pendiente para el próximo encuentro volver allá juntos.
