I felt that my interaction with Boston had more quality and that there was a clearer conversation between us. There were more opportunities to establish boundaries, observe his responses, and give him space to process my requests. Boston seemed highly motivated to connect, although he still doesn't fully understand how to do so in the way I am asking him to.

That day, when I stopped by to greet them in the morning, they didn't want to respond, so I let them eat in peace.
Later, when I came back to spend time with them, as I entered the field with my chair and my things, Boston came straight toward me, but this time he was a little less intrusive. Leche, the female cat, was following me and, in a way, I was more attentive to looking after her while also paying attention to Boston. I greeted him and let him come close, while I also sat down with Leche. He came over, sniffed a little, and then I felt that he was getting too much in my personal space, so I stood up to ask him to step back a little. While I was doing that, I also lifted Leche off the chair, but she was very close to his feet. Boston eventually knocked the chair over. I set it back up and sat down again, but he started approaching in an intrusive way once more, so I thought it would be better, for Leche's safety, to take the chair outside the field and let her sit on it there. Then I went back inside to continue the conversation with Boston. I wanted to see whether he could understand my request to keep some distance. He understood something. I felt there was more of a conversation that day.
Later, taking advantage of Boston's willingness to engage, I called him over to the fence and spent some time there connecting with him. He allowed me to hug and pet him. So I gave him lots of affection, and after a while I invited him to play. We played in a calmer way that day, but I still can't get him to understand my request of "Go," and only once did I throw him a carrot. After that, he no longer wanted to play. He went off with Sofie, and that was it for that day. I went back into the field with the chair and with Leche, and we all stayed there peacefully, without Boston or Sofie coming back to the chair.
There was one moment, while I was petting Boston, when Sofie tried to come closer, but Boston pinned his ears back, telling her no. Even so, she moved a little closer in our direction, and Boston lunged at her, forcefully pushing her away and giving her a bite on the rump. Later, when he came back toward me, I asked him to stop by making a "Stop" hand signal, and he looked at me with a questioning expression, but he did stop. Then, when he tried to come closer again, I repeated the signal, and he slowed down, but in the end he came anyway, without fully respecting my request. I chose not to give him any attention at that moment.
Something similar happened with the cats. At one point I had sat down on the ground. Leche came over to be with me, and then Dulce, the male cat, also came and stayed with me. It was a lovely moment with both of them, but afterward Dulce started chasing Leche, and she had to climb a tree.
There was another moment when I went over to Sofie, a while after Boston had bitten her, and I spent some time petting her as well. She accepted it. I wanted to spend some time with her too.
