1. Tuesday Handicap Points Challenge Results
The Club Individual points competition is played every Tuesday at 7.30 pm except the last Tuesday of the month. On the LAST Tuesday of month, a team competition will be held instead.
Every member is welcome to participate. Entry is through a Whatapps chat group. Contact a committee member for your name to be included in this Whatsapp group.
There are 4 frozen chicken to be won weekly generously donated by the Hornsby RSL club.
The individual 2025 handicap points competition started on 7 Jan 2025 and ended on 9 Dec 2025. The final team event (once every month) finished on 16 Dec 2025. In 2025 competitions, there were 48 different individual winners and/or runner up. Over 150 frozen chickens were won in 2025.

2 . ANNUAL DINNER
The club held its annual dinner on Friday 28 Feb, 2025. It is also the presentation night for all the winners the club was involved in 2024.

3. SNDTTA Competitions
Hornsby RSL Table Tennis Club competes at various grades in 2025 SNDTTA Autumn & Spring competition.
A) 2025 Autumn Comp
The 2 teams from Hornsby RSL Table Tennis Club won both their Division Championship.
Div 1 Blue Team represented by:
Anxi Zhou, Charlie Huang, Dennis Lee, Edgar So, Raymond Chen, Sin Wei Young and Bryce Hoang
The Div 1 Blue Team beat Willoughby Red 5-3 in the Granf Final. Charlie Huang won both his Singles and 1 double to be the star player in the grand final.
Div 2 Gold Team represented by:
Andrew Lo, Sin Wei Young, Bryce Hoang, Van (Ben) Hoang, Harry He, Geoff Barrett and Sonny Ching
The Div 2 Gold Team came from 0-2 down after losing both opening Singles to beat Norwest Titans 5-4 in the Grand Final. The win was made possible with the team winning all 3 doubles.
B) 2025 Spring Comp
The 2 teams from Hornsby RSL Table Tennis Club both finished in the top 4 on the ladder in the Spring Comp.
Div 1 Blue Team represented by:
Anxi Zhou, Charlie Huang, Dennis Lee (c), Edgar So, Matt Kendall, Raymond Chen and Sin Wei Young
The Blue Team finished 4th on the ladder but failed to qualify for the Grand Final.
Div 2 Purple Team represented by:
Andrew Lo, Bingbing Xu, Geoff Barrett, Harry He, Sonny Ching (c), Phil Lean, Sin Wei Young and Van (Ben) Hoang
The Purple Team finished 3rd on the ladder but failed to qualify for the Grand Final.
4. ANNUAL CLOSED CLUB CHAMPIONSHIP 2025
Div 2 and Div 3 competitions were held on Saturday Aug 16. Div 1 and handicap doubles competition were held on Saturday Aug 23.

5. Bushwalking
On Sunday Oct 13, Sonny Ching and Kit Chow led a group to the new Kangaroo Point Boardwalk in Brooklyn. We took a train to Hawkesbury River Station, had lunch at the end of the Boardwalk and then returning by train.

At Estuary Restaurant where Owen Ou knew the owners of the restaurant. We were allocated a table overlooking the Hawkesburry River and given a special lunch menu.
6. BBQ at Crosslands Park Reserve
On Saturday Nov 29, the club held a BBQ lunch. We had great fun enjoying the company of players and their family. Majid Nasr and Shahrbanoo prepared the meat dishes. Kerrie and Goeff Barrett prepared the pasta and potato salad. Kit and Sonny Ching did the green salads and bread roles. Weather was fantastic and it was a good day to get together outside table tennis.
