Review: Boston Globe
"This album contains 17 tracks -- five with vocals and 12 instrumentals -- with most of the tunes based on Irish and English traditional music, sprinkled with everything from Greek love songs to It's a Sin to Tell a Lie. ...the Gloucester Hornpipe & Clog society has produced a real charmer. My favorites are its versions of the familiar Greenland Fisheries, Black as Jet, a beautiful instrumental derived from a Serbian love song; Off to California, an Irish hornpipe, and a couple of originals by fiddler Owen Hartford. ...what these folks have succeeded in putting on vinyl are some fine melodies, quite a few grins, mostly good performances and a lot of feeling. It kept me listening and smiling."
