HORNBROOK COMMUNITY ASSOCIATION
The Hornbrook Community Association formed from the Hornbrook Grange #391, which was located at 221 Main Street in Henley (now Hornbrook), California.
Hornbrook Grange was a fraternal organization that promoted local agricultural causes and provided a building for social functions in the community.
The old Grange, pictured at the top of this webpage, was built in about 1921 from a pre-existing saloon and at least two of our current board members participated on the board of the Grange.
The building and whatever historical documents it contatined, were all lost in the Klamathon Wildfire of 2018, so preserving what local history we can salvage is important to us.
Thankfully, the County of Siskiyou stepped up to help us purchase a new buildimg located at 15439 Hornbrook Road. So we now begin a new chapter in HCA's life of service to our community!
Local Hornbrook historian Eugene French wrote that the Hornbrook Grange was concieved of in the hall of of the local Knights of Pythias Building near the center of town.
