The Friday's party room is located on the top of the clock's tower. It's prepared with a chillout area and a wooden ballroom where we will be dancing during the Friday's evening.
On Saturday we'll be partying down at Clube dos Fenianos located in R. Clube dos Fenianos 29, 4000-407 Porto. We've reserved the main Ballroom for the hole day so we will have classes and the party there, on Saturday.
When you arrive, please make sure to tell the concierge you are for the Hoppin' Weekend event. They will direct you to an elevator that will take you directly to the ballroom located at the first floor.
The Fenianos Portuenses Club building was created in 1935. It is a nonprofit cultural and recreational association with public utility status. The club is situated in the heart of the city, at the beginning of Avenida dos Aliados, next to Porto City Hall.
Known for its carnival parade, the club has expanded its reputation through charitable and philanthropic actions, hosting various associations at its headquarters. The club is related to the famous Irish revolutionary association formed in 1858. Some of the club's founders chose the word "Fenianos" inspired by a trip to Brazil in 1903 because of most carnival organizations had 'Fenianos' in their names.
The club aimed to bring the grandeur of Rio de Janeiro and the aesthetic beauty of Venice to Porto's carnival, reflected even in the choice of flooring material.
