Seif is a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) with a Master's in Counselling Psychology and an Honours in Psychology, Neuroscience, and Behavior. With a strong foundation in neuroscience and mental health, Seif brings a unique perspective to children’s health, particularly in how emotional well-being impacts physical conditions, including heart health.
His work focuses on helping young individuals and families navigate anxiety, depression, and stress—factors that are increasingly recognized as influencing pediatric cardiovascular health. By using evidence-based psychotherapy, Seif supports children through life transitions, chronic illness, and emotional challenges, empowering them to develop resilience and improve both mental and physical outcomes.
At LiveWise Associates, the practice he founded in memory of Mary Kuwarimah Jatoe, Augustine focuses on supporting Black and racialized children and families dealing with intergenerational trauma, identity challenges, and cultural displacement. These psychosocial stressors can deeply influence not just mental health, but also physical outcomes like heart health and immune function.
Augustine advocates for integrated care that brings together psychotherapy and pediatric health—recognizing that emotional resilience, cultural affirmation, and trauma-informed support play critical roles in a child's overall well-being, including their cardiovascular health. His work contributes to a more inclusive and holistic model of care for children, especially those from underserved communities.
