Workshop Description

Wiki is a “collaborative workspace in which information can be gathered, shared, evaluated, organized or used to produce something new.” The focus of this workshop is to give you an introduction into how and why wikis should be used in the classroom. Topics covered in the workshop include building your own wikispace, how to use wikis, and what wikis can achieve that traditional materials cannot. Strategies for using two of the most common wiki platforms, PBWiki and Google Docs, will be presented to you. The objective of this workshop is to share ways you can use the new mediums for collaborative writing and composition.
