HoopIQ ("we", "our", or "the app") is a basketball analytics and statistical insights application. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information about you when you use HoopIQ.
When you sign in, we collect:
Your email address
Optional display name
App language preference
Favorite team selections
Records of which forecasts you view
We also store the device time-zone for scheduling local reminders.
We use your data to:
Provide personalized basketball forecasts and analytics
Save your preferences (theme, language, favorites)
Track which forecasts you have viewed against the daily free tier limit
Send local notifications you have explicitly opted into
We do not sell your data to third parties. We do not use your information for advertising profiling.
We use the following third-party services to operate HoopIQ:
Supabase — database, authentication, and serverless backend functions
Google Sign-In — optional authentication method
API-Sports — source of match data, team statistics, and basketball scores
These providers process authentication and operational data on our behalf under their own privacy terms.
Your account, profile, and viewing history are kept until you delete your account. You can delete your account at any time from Settings → Account → Delete account. Deletion is irreversible and removes all your personal data within 30 days.
HoopIQ is intended for users 18 years of age or older. We do not knowingly collect information from minors. If you become aware that a minor has provided us with personal data, please contact us so we can remove it.
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:
Access the personal data we hold about you
Correct inaccurate personal data
Export your data in a machine-readable format
Delete your personal data
Object to certain processing activities

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be notified through the app on your next launch. Continued use of HoopIQ after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
