- Databases are very easy to cite
- Information at your fingertips
- Everyone can access the same information at the same time
- Note: Off campus use will need a password to login

- Identify key CONCEPTS and KEYWORDS for your search
- Use different search engines
- Use Search Limiters:
- Search Operators to limit and refine your results
- Boolean - AND, NOT, OR
- SITE:.edu (example: Caribou AND traits SITE:.edu) will limit your search to Educational sites
- SITE:.gov (example: Caribou AND traits SITE:.gov) will limit your search to Government sites
- Remember: The purpose of Government and Educational websites are to provide INFORMATION - not advertisement/commercial
