Hello! I am Hongyu Yi (pronounced “Hong-yoo Ee”), a PhD student in Electrical and Computer Engineering and a 2026-2027 Clean Energy Institute Graduate Fellow at the University of Washington, advised by Jing Yu. I received my M.Phil. in Computer and Information Engineering and B.Sc. in Mathematics at The Chinese University of Hong Kong, Shenzhen (CUHK-Shenzhen), where I worked with Chenye Wu.
My research interests lie in learning, control, and optimization theory with applications in energy and transportation systems. Additionally, I collaborate closely with Chenbei Lu.
