The goals of this project:
What knowledge is needed to promote students’ conceptual development in algebra? What practices are most effective for doing so? The purpose of this Spencer foundation funded project is to identify, from a cross-cultural perspective, the core mathematical knowledge and practice for teaching algebraic and functional relations, to enable middle school mathematics teachers to better develop students’ algebraic thinking.
