I am a (first-gen) PhD candidate in Political Theory at Central European University (Doctoral School of Political Science, Public Policy and International Relations).
My primary research interests are in the area of democratic theory and its implications for non-liberal contexts. Additionally, I am also interested in the issues of climate justice, animal citizenship, and territorial disputes.
In 2022/23 academic year, I co-chaired a student-led research group in Political, Legal, and Moral Philosophy (POLEMO). For more information: https://politicalscience.ceu.edu/polemo

To my Vietnamese peers:
If you’re interested in political philosophy/political science, or considering doing a PhD in Europe, feel free to reach out! I come from a family where neither of my parents went to university, and I grew up in a tiny town. I know firsthand what it takes to pursue higher education—especially in political science—the uncertainty of not knowing what lies ahead, the feeling of not belonging, and the financial struggles of working multiple part-time jobs to support yourself and your family.
If you want to chat about the academic path, applying for PhD programs, or just navigating this journey, I’d be happy to share my experiences and help however I can. Don't hesitate to get in touch!
