My research is firmly situated at the intersection of microeconomics and applied microeconomics, with a special focus on innovation, international trade, and policies.
My works combine theoretical models and empirical analysis to explore the nexus between innovation, exports, export quality, and the causal effect of different policies on these two aspects. My doctoral thesis explores Essays on International Trade and Innovation. I use the data at different levels to examine the relationship between innovation and export quality, specifically, export quality and patent intensity: a bidirectional relationship under institutional constraints, and the causal effects of policies on firms' innovation.
