Art-inspired flower wreath

In this project, I interpreted elements from diverse forms of artwork, including paintings, movies, books, etc. and crafted a flower wreath.

Claude Monet

• This wreath features water lilies, iris, sunflowers, poppies, apple blossoms, and agapanthus—flowers famously depicted in Monet's paintings. 

• I also tried to capture Monet's oil painting style by employing brushstrokes and colors reminiscent of his work.

Ophelia - John Everett Millais 

• The painting "Ophelia" is rich with various plants, each with symbolic significance. 

• For this wreath, I selected forget-me-not, pansy, violet, dianthus, grass, long purple, hyacinth, daisy, and rose. 

• I believe that grass is important, as the essence of "Ophelia".

The Starry Night - Vincent van Gogh

• Incorporating three flowers—iris, hydrangea, and mimosa— to represent Van Gogh's iconic imagery. 

• The iris is a recurring motif in his work. Mimosa was chosen to represnet his signature yellow hue, color of the Stars in the Starry Night; its fluffy, yellow blooms resemble the glows. Hydrangea is the deep blue hues of the Starry Night's sky. 

• Inspired by Van Gogh's iris leaves, I incorporated a mint green shade, while the purple hue reflects my personal interpretation of iris flowers.

Henri Matisse

Arrietty - Studio Ghibli

• Most elements are present in Arrietty's bedroom except for ivy wines which are outside and poppies in the backyard garden.

Alphonse Mucha
