A honeycomb is nature's most perfect structure.Humans have been replicating the structure of honeycombs since Ancient Greece. This is because its shape and structure cause it to be the strongest, most resistant structure against collapse while also being the most efficient use of building resources. From beehives to shipping to aerodynamic engineering, honeycombs are found over and over again.
Humans thrive on good structure. We are not all that different from bees. For the most part, humans live inside societies which operate together, with different members of the "hive" providing for different community needs. A "hive" could be as big as a whole country or global trade agreement, or as small as all of the different parts of one person's life. Regardless of the size, each hive needs to be built up to be strong and efficient in order to make sure all of the bees living in it have what they need to keep pollinating flowers, making honey, and driving the world's capacity to flourish. Likewise, humans need structural support (emotional structures, financial structures, systemic structures...) in order to be able to achieve their goals and do the things they are meant to do out in the world.
Everyone has limited resources. Our resources as humans are finite. For many of us, this means we only have a certain amount of money in order to address all of our needs. For most, this means we only have enough time to deal with a fraction of the things we want to accomplish in our days. When faced with any limitation, we often need help to figure out how to efficiently build ourselves up to be able to achieve our goals using the finite resources that we have. You may already have all the resources you need to do this and simply need a set of fresh eyes to help arrange them in a way that allows your structures to form. It's also possible that you DON'T have what you need and you need to be connected to the proper resources to get the proper support. I can help you identify strengths and weaknesses, and find ways for the pieces you have to fit together better to make space for new things to grow.
Good honeycomb = good hive = good bees = good honeycomb (and so on...)I believe that the whole community flourishes when we find ways to support everyone in it. I started Honeycomb Legal Solutions with one purpose: to leverage my understanding of systems and structures to help you work through issues that are destabilizing the structures in your work and life and to build you up to a place where you are better able to achieve your goals--or, to continue this cheesy metaphor, your "honey." Taking a good look at your resources and how best to leverage them can provide you with the building blocks you need to build a life and a culture that supports the things you want to do... and, by extension, enables a brighter world to blossom.Â
