The Honeoye Art Walk and Sidewalk Ribbon Cutting Ceremony celebrated Honeoye’s deep commitment to the arts and the local community. The event marked the grand opening of the new sidewalks, which now serve as a canvas for showcasing extraordinary works of art. Featured along the Art Walk were sculptures by internationally acclaimed artist Phillipe Faraut, whose intricate and lifelike creations captivated attendees. The event also highlighted the photographic works of Jeanette Klute, a pioneer in color photography, alongside a diverse collection of paintings, sculptures, and mixed media pieces created by talented local artists.
The ceremony was well-attended by local, county, and state officials, including Representative Marjorie Byrnes, Senator Pam Helming, Town Supervisor Daryl Marshall, and Tracey Dello Stritto from the Ontario County Chamber of Commerce. The Art Walk, featuring 17 stops that showcase the work of local artists was funded by Ontario County, the American Rescue Plan, Arts, Culture and Recreation Grant, and the Town of Richmond. The Hamlet Sidewalk Project was funded through a NYS SAM grant from Senator Samra Brouk’s office and the Town of Richmond. The ribbon cutting symbolized more than just the opening of a new walkway—it marked a milestone in the town’s dedication to cultivating a thriving artistic community. Visitors enjoyed a lively atmosphere as they strolled the Art Walk, experiencing the creativity and craftsmanship that defines Honeoye's rich artistic landscape.
The event was a true testament to the town’s collaborative spirit and its vision for fostering a vibrant cultural destination for residents and visitors alike.
