1. Transmission: CVT Shuddering
Symptoms: Shaking or vibrating when pulling away from a stop.
The Fix: Dust buildup in the clutch bell. Clean the CVT housing with air and lightly sand the clutch shoes. Torque the drive face nut to 60 Nm.
2. Engine: Idling Stop System (ISS) Issues
Symptoms: Engine cuts out at lights but won't auto-restart.
The Fix: Usually a weak battery. If it’s below 12.4V, the ISS disables itself. Check battery terminals and the ACG starter connection.
3. Cooling: Internal Coolant Leaks
Symptoms: Coolant level drops but there are no puddles under the bike.
The Fix: Check the "weep hole" near the water pump for blue residue. This means the mechanical seal is failing. Only use Honda Pre-mixed Type 2 Blue coolant for refills.
4. Braking: Spongy Rear Combi-Brake
Symptoms: Left brake lever feels soft or hits the handlebar.
The Fix: Usually just needs the rear drum adjuster nut tightened. Aim for 10–20mm of freeplay at the lever.
5. Electronics: Smart Key Failure
Symptoms: Bike won't recognize the remote or the key icon flashes.
The Fix: Replace the CR2032 battery in the FOB first. If that fails, use your Emergency ID Tag code to start the bike manually.
