Manifesto

The Andromeda Saga consists of more than a dozen stories. The core of the series is formed by six extensive novels. Most of them begin with a Prologue and conclude with an Epilogue. It is therefore possible to become acquainted with a form of summary of these works by reading their Prologues and Epilogues. 

A three-minute video available on YouTube under https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Pd15uPTunZg   also serves as a kind of synopsis, although in a highly condensed and promotional form.

Any reader may naturally ask what the overall message of the entire series is. It is possible, of course, to formulate a very general description of its central theme. Such a statement might be called the author's manifesto. I formulate below this kind of text. 

However, the Andromeda Saga goes much further. It presents an extensive and complex new legend that seeks to provide meaning to the life of each individual and to the existence of human civilization as a whole. The essence of this New Legend — or, in other words, a new guiding myth for humanity—is gradually revealed to the reader through the successive novels of the Andromeda Saga. It would be a mistake to spoil the pleasure of discovering its meaning step by step.

Nevertheless, the author should be able to express clearly and concisely the core message of this New Legend. Such a compact formulation does exist and has been presented  in sub-page "New Legend".  So, for a concise presentation of the core ideas, please refer to the website subpage accessible through the "New Legend" button. 

However, I do not recommend studying this document before reading my stories. Its content is useful mainly for those readers who have already read most of the stories and have come to believe that the Arrivals propose practical, realistic, and probably effective actions that may help humanity overcome the greatest threats facing our civilization. 

Thus, the document entitled "New Legend"  enables the reader to decide whether to take part in the intentions and undertakings of the Arrivals.

Manifesto

We did not appear in this world by accident. We were brought into existence by beings similar to ourselves. It is they who set us on the path of seeking to understand everything and to shape our own future. They placed our destiny in our hands, including the possibility of ultimately securing our own immortality.

Our predecessors know—just as some among us already understand—that ensuring prosperity, continued development, and achieving the most important goal of all, namely our rebirth in the distant future, requires freedom of thought, freedom of expression, and personal liberty.

Such freedom, together with the absence of constant threats, allows us to enjoy the rewards that come from the effort required to expand knowledge, deepen understanding, and increase our technological capabilities.

Among the rewards available to us are the fulfillment that comes from finding love and satisfying desire, from erotic experience and human intimacy. These experiences occur when we encounter the enduring structures woven into the fabric of the universe—structures that ultimately arise from the highest and eternal reality.

The most effective way to safeguard the essential conditions necessary for achieving our aspirations—none of which are guaranteed by anyone—is to maintain a balance between men and women and to gradually overcome the patriarchal organization of society.

To reduce war and violence, it is necessary to recognize the realm of the “shadow” within each individual psyche, as well as the collective shadows of groups and nations. This requires a gradual dismantling of the red demarcation line that separates the shadow from public and official discourse. Such a process must ultimately lead to a transformation of accepted ethical principles.

To understand and appreciate this message, it is helpful to recognize that our civilization is likely making three fundamental cognitive errors. In our view, these errors should be identified and corrected.
