The first song, Besharam Rang, from one of the most anticipated films of 2023, Pathaan, dropped recently. While fans appreciated Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone's sizzling chemistry, it also landed the film in trouble with Madhya Pradesh minister Dr Narottam Mishra. The minister fumed over the use of saffron costumes in the film. Minister Narottam Mishra also shared a tweet regarding this where he called Deepika Padukone a supporter of the tukde-tukde gang. In his tweet in Hindi, he also wrote that "the costumes are highly objectionable and the song has been shot with a dirty mindset (sic)."

The advocate for the plaintiff argued that as per the rule of Sensor Board before publishing advertisements in newspapers, holding, posters, trailers, and teasers it is necessary to show U/A Certificate.
