There is no Band instrument that is "easy" or "hard."
The answer is different for everyone. Different people find different instruments easier or harder.
Every instrument has it's own unique challenges.
Pick an instrument that interests you, and stick with it!!
Please ask if you have any questions!
Once you click "submit" on the registration form, you should receive a confirmation email that you're registered. Congratulations! Please check your junk folder if you don't see it.
If you've requested information about renting from the school (free & reduced lunch and Instruments for All Program) your teacher will send that to you soon.
If you'll be renting an instrument from a local store, go ahead and rent one as soon as possible. You may want to call the store in advance.
Students will be notified of their Specials schedule so they know which day they will have Strings or Band.
Returning students - keep practicing!
Beginners:
While this is super-exciting, please WAIT until our first lesson and/or instrument assembly videos are provided before beginning. We want to make sure you don't accidentally break anything or develop bad habits before classes even begin. Beginning Strings students, please don't touch or tighten the bow hair!
Parents/Guardians, when it is time to assemble the instrument (Band) for the first time, your presence would be a great help in getting your child started correctly!
Help your child find an appropriate place to practice. It should be quiet and away from others if possible.
Help your child schedule time to practice. I recommend 4 times per week for 10-15 minutes each time.
Do your best! Not everyone has the same space or time to practice. We understand.
Celebrate small accomplishments!
Don't be afraid to ask for help! That's what we're here for, and our goal is your success.
Please email with any questions. We are happy to help!
