In the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.
Leader: Let us prepare ourselves to take part in this Triduum in honor of Saint Dominic with the best possible dispositions, so that the Lord may grant us whatever we ask of Him through the intercession of His glorious saint, of whom a witness said under oath in the process of canonization: “he was patient, kind, compassionate, sober, loving, humble and he was always a virgin. I never knew any one to compare with him in holiness of life.”
Leader: Let us ask the Lord to forgive us our sins …
All: I confess …
Leader: May Almighty God …
All: Amen.
Leader: Let us pray:
All: O God, you exalted the world through the humiliation of your Son. Grant that, through the intercession of St. Dominic and following his example, we may humble ourselves, renounce the things of earth and die to the pomps and vanities of the world, live always in God and fulfill His will manifested in His commandments and the duties of my state of life and work earnestly for the acquisition of the imperishable and eternal goods of Heaven. Amen.
(A short homily or reading may follow.)
Leader: Prayer for the 1st/ 2nd /3rd day:
All:
1st Day: O glorious patriarch St. Dominic, untiring preacher of the Faith not only in word but more so in the innocence of your life and in the ardour of your charity, may the merits of your tears, vigils and mortifications with which you deserved to bring to God innumerable sinners and heretics, secure for us the special grace to hate sin, the only true evil in this world. Thus, detesting sin, we may not only reform our lives but also imitate you in the apostolate of the Word and of good example in order to help bring back to the Church of Christ all those who may have gone astray through sin, error, or ignorance, so that, by sharing in your merits, we may all be with you in heaven Amen.
2nd Day: O glorious patriarch St. Dominic, you were so favored by our Mother, the Blessed Virgin Mary: she gave you the Rosary as a remedy for the ills of the world! We beseech you to foster in us a true devotion to the Blessed Virgin and to her Rosary for the good of our souls, for the amendment of our lives, for the reparation of our sins, for the sanctification of our customs, and the defeat of the enemies of God’s people. Grant that we may always obey promptly the dictates of Mary, make amendments for the profanities against her and keep her company with the recitation of the Rosary, becoming apostles of this devotion so dear to Her hear. Amen.
3rd Day: O glorious patriarch St. Dominic, you prostrated yourself every night before God’s altar, in order to adore Him with a living faith and to ignite that ardent desire for martyrdom with the fiery love of the Eucharist, as well as to prepare yourself for death, a though which filled you with joy because it meant the end of the struggle and the long wait for the Beloved, while for us is a source of fear finding ourselves full of sins and regrets before the Divine Justice. O dear Father St. Dominic, obtain for us a true devotion to the Holy Eucharist and to the Cross, together with a lively faith, a firm hope, a perfect contrition and complete abandonment to the Divine Mercy, so that after living as we would like to die, we may be received by Jesus and Mary in Heaven. Amen.
Leader: Now ask for the favor you wish to obtain from this Triduum through the intercession of St. Dominic.
Leader: Let us praise and bless the Lord for all the graces granted to St. Dominic.
All: Praised be God the Father, for the power conferred upon St. Dominic to perform miracles!
Our Father… Hail Mary… Glory be…
All: Praised be God the Son, for having chosen St. Dominic to be the founder of the Order of Preachers!
Our Father… Hail Mary… Glory be…
All: Praised be God the Holy Spirit, for the gift of the Rosary of Mary to the world through St. Dominic!

HYMN
Rejoice, dear Mother Church, who now
Singest to heaven in accents gay,
For these thy sons he brought whom thou
Lovingly call'st to mind today.
The leader of the Lord's dread hounds,
Dom'nic, our guide and father blest,
Revered throughout the earth's vast bounds,
In God's own Home has found his rest.
Gone is the body's prison gloom,
Come the Light of eternity!
Garments from an angel's loom
Replace the rags of poverty.
The sacred fragrance from his grave
And myriad signs wrought through his name
In clamorous joy give judgment brave:
Another Saint doth God proclaim!
PSALMODY
Ant.1 His mission foretold by his mother's dream, Dominic proclaimed the good news of salvation.
Psalm 96
Sing to the Lord a new song;
sing to the Lord, all the earth.
Sing to the Lord and bless his name;
Proclaim his salvation day after day.
Declare his glory among the nations,
his wondrous deeds to every people.
For great is the Lord and worthy of all praise;
he is more to be feared[e] than all other gods.
The gods of the nations are merely idols,
but it was the Lord who made the heavens.
Majesty and splendor surround him;
power and beauty are in his sanctuary.
Render to the Lord, you families of nations,
render to the Lord glory and power.
Render to the Lord the glory due to his name;
bring an offering and enter his courts.
Worship the Lord in the splendor of his holiness;
tremble before him, all the earth.
Say among the nations, “The Lord is King.
The world is firmly established, never to be moved.
He will judge the peoples fairly.”
Let the heavens exult and the earth be glad;
let the sea resound and all that fills it.
Let the fields rejoice and all that is in them,
let all the trees of the forest shout for joy
before the Lord, for he is coming,
coming to judge the earth.
He will judge the world with justice,
and the nations with equity.
Glory be...
Ant.2 Sustained by a of poverty Dominic preached the word of God, sowing the seed of the Gospel.
Psalm 98
Sing to the Lord a new song,
for he has accomplished marvelous deeds.
His right hand and his holy arm
have made him victorious.
The Lord has made known his salvation;
he has manifested his righteousness for all the nations to see.
He has remembered his kindness and his fidelity
to the house of Israel.
The farthest ends of the earth have witnessed
the salvation of our God.
Sing joyfully to the Lord, all the earth;
raise your voices in songs of praise.
Sing praise to the Lord with the harp,
with the harp and melodious singing.
With trumpets and the sound of the horn
sing joyfully to the King, the Lord.
Let the sea resound and everything in it,
the world and all its inhabitants.
Let the rivers clap their hands
and the mountains shout for joy.
Let them sing before the Lord, who is coming,
coming to judge the earth.
He will judge the world with justice
and the nations with fairness.
Glory be...

PATER NOSTER
Gathering our prayers and praises into one we pray: Our Father...
PRAYER
Lord, let the holiness and teaching of our Father Dominic come to the aid of your Church. May he help us now with his prayers as he once inspired people by his preaching: We ask this though our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, God, for ever and ever
FINAL BLESSING
May God, who made Saint Dominic a minister of the Gospel, strengthen us in our vocation. Amen.
INVITATORY
Ant. Come, let us worship the Lord of apostles, who made Dominic a herald of the gospel.
Psalm 95
Come, let us sing with jubilation to the Lord;
let us cry out to the Rock of our salvation.
Let us come before him with thanksgiving
and extol him with our songs.
For the Lord is the great God,
the King who surpasses all other gods.
In his hands are the depths of the earth,
and the peaks of the mountains are his.
To him belongs the sea, for he created it,
and also the dry land that his hands have molded.
Come forth! Let us bow down to worship him;
let us kneel before the Lord, our Maker.
For he is our God, and we are the people he shepherds,
the flock he protects.
If only you would listen to his voice today:
“Harden not your hearts as you did at Meribah,
as on the day of Massah in the wilderness.
It was there that your ancestors sought to tempt me;
they put me to the test even though they had witnessed my works.
“For forty years I loathed that generation;
I said, ‘They are a people whose hearts go astray,
and they do not know my ways.’
Therefore, in my anger I swore,
‘They will never enter my rest.’
Glory be...
HYMN
Brothers, now in our Father's praise
Sing a new hymn of sanctity.
Sweetly the chant of gladness raise,
Hymn in music has gaiety.
Behold, to souls enchained of sin
Comes a herald of liberty;
And though the world black night shuts in
Brightly this Star shines o'er the sea.
To spread abroad the Gospel seed,
Preach the Cross to the farthest land,
Rescue Truth in her sorry need,
He sends his own-begotten band.
This indeed is that narrow burn,
Increased to a mighty river's grace,
That seeks to give to hearts that yearn
Unending life and God's embrace.
PSALMODY
Ant. 1 For you my soul is thirsting, your love is better than life.
Psalm 63:2-9
O God, you are my God,
for whom I have been searching earnestly.
My soul yearns for you
and my body thirsts for you,
like the earth when it is parched,
arid and without water.
I have gazed upon you in the sanctuary
so that I may behold your power and your glory.
Your kindness is a greater joy than life itself;
thus my lips will speak your praise.
I will bless you all my life;
with uplifted hands I will call on your name.
My soul will be satisfied as at a banquet
and with rejoicing lips my mouth will praise you.
I think of you while I lie upon my bed,
and I meditate on you during the watches of the night.
For you are my help,
and in the shadow of your wings I rejoice.
My soul clings tightly to you;
your right hand holds me fast.
Glory be...

Psalm 149

his praise in the assembly of the saints.
Let Israel rejoice in its Maker;
let the children of Zion rejoice in their King.
Let them praise his name[d] with dancing
and make music to him with tambourine and lyre.
For the Lord takes delight in his people,
and he crowns the humble with salvation.
Let the saints exult in their glory
and sing for joy on their beds.
May the praises of God be on their lips
and a double-edged sword in their hands
to wreak vengeance on the nations
and punishment on the peoples,
to shackle their kings with chains
and their nobles with iron fetters,
to execute the judgments decreed against them:
such is the glory for all his saints.

You overcame the sting of death,
And opened the kingdom of heaven to all believers.
You are seated at God’s right hand in glory.
We believe that you will come, and be our judge.
Come then, Lord, and help your people,

CANTICLE OF ZECHARIAH
Ant. How beautiful the feet of those who announce peace and salvation, saying to Zion: "Your God is King!"
Blessed be the Lord, the God of Israel;
He has come to His people and set them free.
He has raised up for us a mighty Savior,
Born of the house of His servant David.
Through His holy prophets He promised of old
That He would save us from our enemies,
From the hands of all who hate us.
He promised to show mercy to our fathers
And to remember His holy Covenant.
This was the oath He swore to our father Abraham:
To set us free from the hands of our enemies,
Free to worship Him without fear,
Holy and righteous in His sight
All the days of our life.
You, My child shall be called
The prophet of the Most High,
For you will go before the Lord to prepare His way,
To give his people knowledge of salvation
By the forgiveness of their sins.
In the tender compassion of our Lord
The dawn from on high shall break upon us,
to shine on those who dwell in darkness
And the shadow of death,
And to guide our feet into the way of peace.
Glory be...

PSALMODY
Ant.1 The love of Dominic embraced everyone; and so he was loved by all.
Psalm 115
Not to us, O Lord, not to us,
but to your name give glory
because of your kindness and faithfulness.
Why should the nations ask, “Where is their God?”[d]
Our God is in heaven;
he does whatever he pleases.
Their idols are merely silver and gold,
the work of human hands.
They have mouths but they cannot speak;
they have eyes but they cannot see.
They have ears but they cannot hear;
they have noses but they cannot smell.
They have hands but they cannot feel;
they have feet but they cannot walk;
their throats can emit no sound.
Those who make them end up like them,
as do all who place their trust in them.
The house of Israel trusts in the Lord;
he is their help and their shield.
The house of Aaron trusts in the Lord;
he is their help and their shield.
Those who fear the Lord trust in the Lord;
he is their help and their shield.
The Lord will be mindful of us and bless us;
he will bless the house of Israel;
he will bless the house of Aaron.
He will bless those who fear the Lord,
the small no less than the great.
May the Lord cause you to increase,
both you and your children.
May you be blessed by the Lord,
the Maker of heaven and earth.
The heavens belong to the Lord,
but he has given the earth to humanity.
It is not the dead who praise the Lord,
those who sink into silence.
It is we who bless the Lord
from this time forward and forevermore.

Our mouths were filled with laughter
and our tongues with songs of joy.
Then it was said among the nations,
“The Lord has done great things for them.”
The Lord has indeed done great deeds for us,
and we are overflowing with joy.
Once again restore our fortunes, O Lord,
as you did for the streams in the Negeb.
Those who sow in tears
will reap with songs of joy.
Those who go forth weeping,
carrying the seeds to be sown,
will return with shouts of joy,
carrying their sheaves.

He has cast down the mighty from their thrones,
And has lifted up the lowly.
He has filled the hungry with good things,
And the rich He has sent away empty.
He has come to the help of His servant Israel
For He has remembered His promise of mercy,
The promise He made to our fathers,
To Abraham and his children for ever.
Glory be...
Repeat Antiphon.
INTERCESSIONS
As we joyfully celebrate the feast of our Holy Father Dominic, we bring our needs and those of the world to our compassionate God:
-Save your people, Lord.
Loving God, you call us to serve you by imitating our Holy Father Dominic;
-give us that passion for truth which inflamed his heart.
Dominic sent forth his family to fill the world with the fruit of their study and contemplation;
-Lord, keep us assiduous in study, persevering in prayer and zealous in preaching.
As sheep without a shepherd the world hungers for the food of life and the source of truth;
-Lord, increase the number of our Dominican Family that we may proclaim your love to the world
You raised your only-begotten Son to glory through his obedience on the cross;
-may our deceased brothers and sisters come to contemplate your face for ever.
PATER NOSTER
With one heart and voice we pray as as Jesus taught us: Our Father...
PRAYER
Lord, let the holiness and teaching of our Father Dominic come to the aid of your Church. May he help us now with his prayers as he once inspired people by his preaching. We ask this through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, God, for ever and ever.
FINAL BLESSING
God manifested the tenderness and humanity of Christ in our Father Dominic. May God transform you in the image of that same Christ. Amen.
Taken from, "Lay Dominicans' Manual" by Fr. Eladio Neira, OP (1989)
In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.
Leader: Let us prepare ourselves to take part in this Triduum in honor of the seraphic doctor Catherine of Siena, patron and model of the Lay Dominicans, and ask God’s forgiveness in Catherine’s own words:
All: O eternal Father, I well know that mercy is proper to you; hence you cannot refuse it to anyone who asks it of you. Your servants are knocking at the door of your Truth, because in Truth, your only-begotten Son, they have come to know the unutterable love you have for mankind and so they are knocking at your door. The fire of your charity must not, nor can it restrain itself from opening to those who knock with perseverance. Open, then, unlock and break the hardened hearts of your creatures; if not for the sake of those who knock, do it because of your infinite goodness. Amen. (Dialogue, 134)
Leader: Cancel out our sins today, O true God, and cleanse our souls with the blood which your only begotten Son shed for us; so that, dead to ourselves, living for him, we may exchange our passion for his with bright face and undivided soul.
All: Amen. (Prayer VI)
Leader: Prayer for everyday:
All: O God, who sends the light of truth to those who are in error in order to bring them back to the paths of truth and justice, dispel the darkness of our errors and let the dawn of resplendent grace shine forth in our lives. Lord, that we may see our faults, detest our sins, and atone for our offenses, so that, reinstated once more in your friendship and grace, we may be worthy to participate in your Passion and reproduce in our lives the sorrowful and loving mysteries of your life.
Leader: Prayer for the 1st Day/ 2nd Day/ 3rd Day:
All:
1st Day: We beseech you, O Almighty God, to let the splendor of faith shine over us so that it may shed its light over our frailties, our falls, our works, and our anxieties. Grant to the intercession of St. Catherine of Siena, our sweet mother, that in the frequent fluctuations of fortune, in the tempest of temptations, in the fears of sickness and poverty that cloud and darken our lives, we may see in them a design of love and may rest confidently in the security of your promises. With heartfelt and hopeful prayer we implore her protection and with her guidance and assistance, we propose to traverse the road to heaven, to promote the interests of virtue in our life, to conquer the enemies of our soul, to overcome all hardships and to sincerely aspire for sanctity.
2nd Day: Most sweet Jesus, who imprinted your five wounds on the virginal body of St Catherine and fed her in Holy Communion with the best in life through your Body and Blood, humbly we beseech you to cleanse us from our sins, to adorn us with your virtues and merits, and to give the grace to receive this Sacrament with humility and reverence, in fear and in trembling, with sorrow and contrition for our sins, with the resolution to avoid sin in the future, and with the love and sanctity befitting such a high mystery.
3rd Day: Apostolic St. Catherine of Siena, who, having professed in the Third Order of St. Dominic, followed the footsteps of such a sublime Father in the work of salvation of souls and for the exaltation of our Mother the Church; who, at the end, when you breathed forth your last sigh, after exceptional tortures, accepted it for Christian unity and for the liberty of the Roman Pontiff, obtain for us from the Lord, a similar zeal, which will animate us to progress everyday in our personal sanctification and encourage us to sacrifice ourselves for the spiritual welfare of our fellowmen.
Leader: Now ask, through the intercession of St. Catherine, the special favor you wish to obtain from this Triduum. (Pause)
Leader: Let us praise the Blessed Trinity for the prerogatives granted to St. Catherine of Siena.
All: Praised be God the Father for the power he communicated to St. Catherine to defend the Catholic Church. Our Father… Hail Mary… Glory Be…
Praised be God the Son, for the gifts he bestowed upon St. Catherine with the imprinting of his five wounds. Our Father… Hail Mary… Glory Be…
Praised be God the Holy Spirit for the charity with which he distinguished St. Catherine among the souls he loved best. Our Father… Hail Mary… Glory Be…
Leader: Final Prayer:
All: Eternal Majesty! Almighty God! We cry to you, our God and our love, praying that in your great pity you show mercy unto the world. Grant unto it light to acknowledge him, who is your Vicar, in the purity of faith; and do also shed light unto him, that all the world may follow him. And since you have chosen him to be your Vicar, give him wisdom and a courageous heart, and fill him with holy humility. Never will we cease to knock at the door of your mercy, praying you to exalt him and protect him, and to manifest in him your strength. Let his heart be filled with undaunted courage and let your charity, your purity, and your sovereign wisdom shine forth in all his acts that thus he may draw after him the entire world. Amen.

INVITATORY ANTIPHON
Come let us worship God, who speaks to us through the saints.
HYMN
O Jesus! crown of blessed souls,
O Mary! joy of realms on high,
Ye Angels! filled with bliss divine,
O listen to our suppliant's cry.
Ye venerable Patriarchs,
Ye noble Prophets of the Lord,
Ye Princes twelve of the Holy Church.
And ye, who feared not rack nor sword,
Ye lovely choirs of Virgin saints,
Ye Confessors, and Hermit bands,
On our rejoicings kindly smile,
And bless us with your blessed hands.
For in these solemn rites we sing
The sharers in your bright reward,
Who, under our most holy Rule,
Fulfilled the counsels of the Lord.
With filial love we now rejoice,
With this our glorious ancestry;
May we your happy portion share,
Both now, and for eternity.
Praise to the Father and the Son;
And to their Spirit, equal praise!
Whom ye, blest spirits, celebrate
With jubilee, and endless lays.
PSALMODY
(Psalms and Canticles from Sunday Week 1)
Ant. 1 These are they who seek the Lord, who see the face of the God of Jacob.
Ant. 2 The holy friends of Christ rejoice in heaven; they followed in his footsteps to the end. They have shed their blood for love of him and will reign with him forever.
Ant. 3 The city of the Lord is filled with th praises of the saints; the angels and archangels sing their hymn before the throne of God, alleluia.
READING (1 Jn 1:5-7)
This is the message that we have heard from him and that we declare to you: God is light, and there is no darkness at all in him. If we claim that we have fellowship with him while we continue to live in darkness, we are lying and do not live in the truth. However, if we live in the light as he himself is in the light, then we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus his Son purifies us from all sin.
RESPONSORY
Let the saints rejoice in the Lord.
- Let the saints rejoice in the Lord
God has chosen you as an inheritance;
- Rejoice in the Lord.
Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit
- Let the saints rejoice in the Lord.
TE DEUM
CANTICLE OF ZECHARIAH
Ant. Blessed be God! For we have been chosen to live in love, holy and without blemish in the sight of God.
INTERCESSIONS
Let us offer our praise to God who called us to share in the lot of the saints in light:
- R. Lord, you alone are holy.
You illumined our Father Dominic on earth and now make him brilliant in heaven; with him we joyfully give you thanks.
-R.
You nourished in our brothers and sisters a love of truth and a thirst for the salvation of souls; grant us these same gifts.
-R.
You gave to our brothers and sisters the wisdom to preach salvation to the peoples of every nation; may we sing your praises with them.
-R.
You looked kindly on our brothers and sisters who witnessed to you in the world; we thank you for their strong and constant spirit.
-R.
You consecrated our brothers and sisters as heralds of your kingdom which is to come; for their lives of service we glorify you, Lord.
-R.
PATER NOSTER
We who are members of Christ use his words and say with one voice...
CLOSING PRAYER
God, source of all holiness, you have enriched your Church with many gifts in the saints of the Order of Preachers. By following the example of our brothers and sisters may we come to enjoy their company for ever in the kingdom of our Lord Jesus Christ, you Son, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, God, for ever and ever. Amen.
FINAL BLESSING
You were buried in death with Christ through baptism and raised with him. May God lead you to walk in newness of life. Amen.
HYMN
Hail, cedars tall of Lebanon;
Complete your growth, so well begun,
Ye sturdy slips the Order yields,
Transplanted in celestial fields.
The glory of the Trinity
Enfolds you now eternally;
The Virgin Mother's favouring air
Breathes over you in zephyr's fair.
The choiring Seraphim advance
To circle you, and sweetly dance
Forever, in your sheltered nooks
Refreshed with pure eternal brooks.\
O race renowned, of noblest birth,
Vouchsafe to help your sons on earth,
And strengthen us, your offshoots frail
Within this melancholy vale.
The Father and the Son we laud,
And Thee, sweet Spirit, Breath of God;
With whom our predecessors bright
Live joyous in eternal light.
PSALMODY
Ant. 1 You who have left all things and followed me, will receive a hundredfold and will possess eternal life.
Psalm 89:2-19
I will sing forever of the Lord’s kindness;
with my lips I will proclaim your faithfulness
throughout the generations.
You said, “My kindness lasts forever;
my faithfulness is as firmly established as the heavens.
“I have made a covenant with my chosen one;
I have sworn to my servant David:
‘I will establish your descendants forever
and allow your throne to endure for all generations.’”
Let the heavens praise your wonders, O Lord,
your faithfulness in the assembly of your holy ones.
For who in the skies can be compared to the Lord?
Is there any heavenly being who is like the Lord,
a God who is feared in the council of the holy ones,
greater and more awesome than any who stand in his presence?
O Lord, God of hosts, who is like you?
Almighty Lord, your faithfulness is never absent.
You control the raging sea,
calming its surging waves.
You crushed Rahab with a deadly blow;
you scattered your foes with your mighty arm.
Yours are the heavens and yours is the earth;
you founded the world and all that is in it.
You created the north and the south;
Tabor and Hermon joyously praise your name.
Mighty is your arm and strong is your hand;
your right hand is forever raised high.
Righteousness and justice are the foundation of your throne;
kindness and faithfulness go before your face.
Blessed are the people who know how to acclaim you, O Lord,
who walk in the light of your countenance.
In your name they rejoice all day long,
and they exult in your righteousness.
You are the strength in which they glory,
and by your kindness our horn is exalted.
For the Lord is our shield,
the Holy One of Israel, our King.
Glory be...
Ant. 2 Come, blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the beginning of the world.
Psalm 98
Sing to the Lord a new song,
for he has accomplished marvelous deeds.
His right hand and his holy arm
have made him victorious.
The Lord has made known his salvation;
he has manifested his righteousness for all the nations to see.
He has remembered his kindness and his fidelity
to the house of Israel.
The farthest ends of the earth have witnessed
the salvation of our God.
Sing joyfully to the Lord, all the earth;
raise your voices in songs of praise.
Glory be...
Ant. 3 In the Son we were chosen by God! Praise this glorious grace.
Colossians 1:12-20
Giv(e) thanks to the Father
who has enabled you
to share in the inheritance of the saints
in light.
He has rescued us from the power of darkness
and brought us
into the kingdom of his beloved Son,
in whom we have redemption,
the forgiveness of sins.
He is the image of the invisible God,
the firstborn of all creation.
For in him were created all things
in heaven and on earth,
whether visible or invisible,
whether thrones or dominions or rulers or powers—
All things were created through him and for him.
He exists before all things,
and in him all things hold together.
He is the head of the body,
that is, the Church.
He is the beginning,
the firstborn from the dead,
so that in every way
he should be supreme.
For in him
it pleased God
to make all fullness dwell,
and through him
to reconcile all things for him,
whether on earth or in heaven,
by making peace through his blood of the cross.
Glory be...
READING (Phil 1:3-5a- 7-8)
I give thanks to my God every time I think of you. I always pray for you, interceding for you with joy because of your sharing in the gospel from the first day until now. It is only right for me to feel this way toward you, because I hold you in my heart, for you have all shared with me in God’s grace, both during my imprisonment and in the defense and confirmation of the gospel. Indeed, God is my witness how I long for all of you with the affection of Christ Jesus.
RESPONSORY
This is that true company; they conquered the darkness by the love of Christ.

CANTICLE OF MARY
Ant. O Lord, your loving favor has exalted the children of Dominic; may their lives inspire us and their prayers commend us to God.
INTERCESSIONS
With eyes raised to heaven and with voices joined with our holy sisters and brothers we say:
-R. Lord, you alone are holy.
You have entrusted the Order of Preachers to the care of the Blessed Virgin Mary; with her may we desire to listen to your words.
-R.
You entrusted our Father Dominic with the ministry of the Word; with him may we announce the good news of your kingdom.
-R.
You called the martyrs of the Order to offer themselves as a living sacrifice; may we courageously bear the cross prepared for us.
-R.
You led our brothers and sisters after a fruitful life to the heavenly banquet; do not allow our hope to be in vain.
