Re(Discover) Your City
Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to decipher the clues leading you to 14 destinations across the city.
How well do you really know your city?
Whether you've lived here your whole life or are just beginning to get to know our city, the Keys to the City scavenger hunt offers something for everyone. The scavenger hunt will take you through historic downtown streets, serene parks, and architectural gems you might have overlooked. It's a chance to deepen your connection to the place you call home and to uncover its hidden layers.
The City is Your Canvas
Whether you're an aspiring photography virtuoso or a creative newbie, this is your chance to shine! At each location you will take a photograph of yourself or of a consistent item (a stuffed animal, a stapler, a photograph of a loved one - the sky is the limit!). You will submit your photographs using the Submit button on the Clues page. This is your proof that you have solved all of the clues and have traveled to all 14 destinations. Grab your camera and set out on a journey that blends discovery and photography.

$100 prizes will be awarded in 4 categories!
The Trailblazer Award for being the first citizen to successfully solve all of the clues
The Visionary Lens Award for highest-quality photographs
The Whimsy and Wonder Award for most creative photographs
The You and Me Award for the best photographs submitted by an adult/youth team
Key to the City Closing Ceremony and City Hall Tour - Saturday, October 28th!
You have until midnight of October 22nd to submit your photographs to the Key to the City Committee. At 1pm on October 28th, all community members who have completed the Key to the City contest are invited to join our closing ceremony on the steps of the City Hall, where you will be awarded a "Key to the City" by Mayor Joshua Garcia, and given a tour of the City Hall.
The Holyoke Preservation Trust and the Sesquicentennial (150th) Events Committee are proud to bring this fun event to you!
