Volunteers:
Coordinate with St Ignatius principal. In past years students in 5th - 8th grade have helped.
Duties:
Use a “fireman’s brigade” to move Oktoberfest supplies, kids games and buckets from attic to the gym and kitchen hallway. Often done on Thursday before Oktoberfest by the 5, 6, 7, or 8th grade students. Then students run the smaller buckets and lids through the dishwasher, larger buckets are done in the sinks. Leave the clean buckets and lids on tables in the cafeteria to air dry.
The students often also help with transporting tables from the rectory garage to the gym, and setting them up if time allows.
Commitment:
2 hours coordinating with St Ignatius administration for student volunteers several weeks before Oktoberfest. 6 hours Thursday before Oktoberfest washing, drying buckets, organizing students, etc.
