Holy Rosary School Sustained Learning Site

Our Family. A circle of strength and love, founded on faith,

joined in love, kept in God...Together Forever!

Dear Holy Rosary Families,

It is with incredible sadness that I share it is official. The Holy Rosary School building will remain closed for the remainder of the school year.

Both the Governor and State Superintendent of Public Instruction issued strong recommendations that, given the nature of the statewide stay-at-home order and continued need for physical distancing, K-12 schools should not expect to return to in-class instruction for the remainder of the school year. Today, the Contra Costa Office of Education extended the suspension of in-class instruction for the remainder of the year. We, as a Diocesan school, will comply with these directives.

Although our school campus remains physically closed, Catholic education of our students WILL continue. We continue to place the health of our school community and its learning environment as our priority. We will continue to place our energy to support our students. I will continue to share timely updates, including how we will address our cherished milestones that our students traditionally experience during the month of May and June. I don't have all the answers today. I am confident in our collective capacity to guide our students, families, and faculty/staff in this new moment.

I want to thank our faculty and staff for their commitment to our Holy Rosary mission and for their educational leadership in this very unique transitional time. I would also like to thank all of you, our Holy Rosary families and students, for your continued energy, commitment, support and partnership.

Easter is Jesus' love for us. His sacrifice leads to our salvation. Let us gather all our prayers and remain hopeful and faithful in what is to come.

In Partnership,

Mrs. Fajardo
