Cystic fibrosis is a recessive condition. To have cystic fibrosis an individual needs to be homozygous recessive for the CF allele. Both Parents must therefore be heterozygous for the allele.
Polydactyl is a dominant condition. To have polydactyl only one copy of the allele needs to be inherited. Heterozygous individuals will have polydactyl.

During Meiosis all 23 pairs of chromosomes are separated including the 23rd pair - the sex chromosomes.
As females are XX all eggs contain an X chromosome.
