Life happens, and flexibility matters. I ask for at least 24 hours’ notice for cancellations or rescheduling whenever possible. This allows me to offer the time to another client.
Late cancellations or missed appointments may be subject to a 25% fee. If an unexpected situation arises, please reach out. Communication is always appreciated.
Before your first session, we will connect briefly to confirm location details and answer any questions you may have. On the day of your appointment, you do not need to prepare anything special. Wearing comfortable clothing and allowing a few quiet minutes before the session can be helpful.
When I arrive, we will take a few moments to review your goals, preferences, and any areas of concern. You are always encouraged to communicate throughout the session. Your comfort, consent, and sense of ease guide the work from start to finish.
Each session begins with a brief check-in about your goals, preferences, and how your body is feeling that day. From there, the massage is collaborative and responsive. We check in as needed and adjust pressure, techniques, and pacing based on your comfort and feedback.
Not at all. You do not need to choose techniques in advance. Through conversation, observation, and assessment, we work together to determine what will best support your body and your goals during the session.
Sessions may include a blend of techniques such as Swedish massage, deep tissue, sports massage, trigger point therapy, Muscle Energy Technique, Myofascial Techniques, and Neuromuscular Therapy. Techniques are selected thoughtfully and adjusted throughout the session based on your comfort and response.
Swedish Massage
Swedish massage uses gentle, flowing strokes to encourage relaxation and support healthy circulation. This style of massage helps calm the nervous system, ease surface-level muscle tension, and create an overall sense of comfort and ease. It is often a good option for stress relief, first-time clients, or anyone seeking a slower, more soothing experience.
Deep Tissue Massage
Deep tissue massage involves slower, more focused techniques designed to reach deeper layers of muscle and connective tissue. This approach can be helpful for addressing chronic tension, areas that feel “stuck,” or patterns of tightness that build over time. Pressure is always adjusted based on comfort, with an emphasis on working with the body rather than forcing change.
Sports Massage
Sports massage focuses on supporting movement, recovery, and overall physical performance. This approach may include a mix of techniques such as stretching, compression, and targeted work to address muscles used in specific activities. Sports massage can be helpful before or after physical activity, during training periods, or as part of ongoing maintenance to support mobility and reduce the risk of strain.
Trigger Point Therapy
Trigger point therapy involves focused pressure on specific areas of tightness within a muscle that may refer sensation to other parts of the body. This technique is used to help reduce localized tension, improve movement, and support overall comfort. Pressure is applied thoughtfully and adjusted based on feedback, with an emphasis on working within your comfort level.
Muscle Energy Technique (MET)
Muscle Energy Technique is a gentle, collaborative approach that uses light muscle engagement from the client to help reduce tension and improve range of motion. During this technique, you may be asked to gently activate a muscle for a few seconds while the therapist provides guidance and resistance. MET supports balance, mobility, and ease of movement while keeping the work active and responsive.
Myofascial Techniques (MAT)
Myofascial techniques focus on the connective tissue that surrounds and supports muscles throughout the body. This work is slow and sustained, allowing time for tissue to soften and release without force. MAT can help ease restriction, improve movement quality, and support a greater sense of comfort and freedom in the body.
Neuromuscular Therapy (NMT)
Neuromuscular Therapy is a focused approach that addresses specific areas of tension by considering how muscles and nerves interact. This technique looks at patterns of strain, posture, and movement that may contribute to ongoing discomfort. NMT can be helpful for persistent pain, repetitive use patterns, or areas that do not respond well to more general massage techniques.
Yes. This add-on is offered solely as a relaxation-focused, non-sexual technique. It uses light, rhythmic touch to support nervous system regulation and deep relaxation. As with all techniques, it is guided by consent and clear communication.
A space about the size of a yoga mat on each side of the table is usually enough. A quiet room with enough space to move around the table comfortably works best. If you are unsure, we can talk it through ahead of time.
Sometimes, yes. Outdoor sessions can be lovely when weather, privacy, and ground conditions allow. A flat surface, shade, and minimal distractions are important. This can be discussed when booking.
No. Sessions can take place anywhere that feels comfortable, private, and appropriate. This may include a home, office, or temporary lodging. Location details are confirmed ahead of time to ensure a good fit.
I bring the massage table, linens, oils, and everything needed for the session. You do not need to prepare anything beyond a comfortable space.
You may undress to your level of comfort. You will always be properly draped, and only the area being worked on is uncovered. Your comfort and boundaries are respected at all times.
Mobile massage is a great option for anyone who prefers receiving care in a familiar environment, has limited mobility, a busy schedule, or wants to avoid travel after a session.
No tipping is expected. Pricing reflects the full cost of the service.
