Abe

Background

• Abe was born in France during the 1920s to only a father that worked long weeks away on cruise ships for the upper class.

• Due to this, Abe also spent lots of time away helping with work giving him little time to make friends or interact with people. Until he met Zeik.

• Zeik was a runaway child having snuck onto a ship to escape, they soon found themselves attached to Abe. It became such a special relationship that transcended all labels, they were simply just soulmates.

• Abe met Alix for the first time when he was 12.

• A man wearing a beige coat that hit his knees, and glasses that didn't quite sit straight on his face. The man befriended him and told him great stories of power and divine abilities, of heaven, hell and God.

• Overtime and as Abe grew old enough to live on his own Alix would still come and visit, talk to him as friend and almost as a father. Alix had convinced the now 19 year old to perform a ritual, it would bring untold power to the boy and his community, and free him of all the cruelty he felt in the world.

• And so he did.

• This caused the Leviathan Rising, and trapped the people of his hometown in the crater it left behind, now thousands upon thousands of mutants.

• He tried to save some people and got hit in the process, and despite his anger and pain from it all Zeik kept him going. He could live with what he had done as long as they were together, nothing else mattered.

• Until they left too, not even entirely mind you, mutated by the creatures below in the rubble and now left in a state of limbo; not quite monster but no longer human.

• Abe is the most feared man in the world, but he's doing it alone.
