Budapest, the venue and its surroundings
Getting to the city from the airport
Unfortunately there is no express train connecting the city with the airport, so one option is to pick a taxi, which costs around 10.000 HUF, and you'd get to the city center in around 20 minutes.
Another one is the 100E bus, which costs 1000 HUF, and takes you to the center in around 30 minutes.
Upon arrival at the airport you can buy a 2, 3 or 7 day travel card to the public transport system at the BKK ticket booth (costs around 2000-5000 HUF).
Getting to the venue
The venue is the Q building of the Budapest University of Technology and Economics, Faculty of Economic and Social Sciences (Budapest, Magyar Tudósok Körútja 2, 1117). The easiest way to get there is to take the tram 4-6, and get off at the stop "Petőfi híd, budai hídfő" (Petőfi bridge, Buda side). From there you can reach the Q building in a 6 to 7 minute walk. Within the building, Room B 402 is located in the B wing, on the 4th floor.
Food, coffee & more around the venue
(Everything in appr. 10-15 minute walking range from the venue. This is only a personal & biased selection of places in the neighborhood, there are plenty further options for the adventurous.)
