Head Coach
Coach Brandon Redeau was born and raised in Portland, Oregon, and is a proud graduate of Roosevelt High School, where he competed in football, wrestling, and baseball. After graduating and attending college, Coach Redeau felt a strong calling to give back to the sports that helped shape who he is today, leading him to pursue a career in coaching.
Coach Redeau has been coaching wrestling since 2016 and is honored to serve as the Head Wrestling Coach at Hockinson High School. Since taking over the program, he has elevated Hockinson wrestling both on and off the mat by holding student-athletes to high standards built on family, integrity, accountability, and dependability. Academics, character, and work ethic are non-negotiables in his program.
In a short time, Coach Redeau has led the program to several historic firsts, including high team placements at major tournaments, out-of-state trips exposing athletes to collegiate-level wrestling, and earning the title of 2024–25 League Dual Champions. In his first year alone, multiple underclassmen and first-year wrestlers advanced to the postseason—setting the foundation for long-term success.
Family is at the core of everything Coach Redeau does. He has been with his fiancée, Morgan Welch, for over five years, and you will often find him in the wrestling room alongside his nephews, DeShavion and Dalonte. Wrestling has been a lifelong passion, influenced heavily by his grandfather, world-renowned wrestling coach Donnie McPherson.
Coach Redeau genuinely enjoys working with youth and values the opportunity to mentor young adults as they navigate the challenges of today’s world. He takes pride in teaching life lessons that extend far beyond the mat, preparing athletes to be successful competitors, students, and people. He is extremely grateful to be part of the Hockinson community and honored to work with its student-athletes every day.
