Rodger Carr is a lifetime creative who has been building worlds like Oakhaven, in his imagination for four decades. Now, retired and finally with free time, he writes because the characters demand it, not because the market does.

He doesn't write to market formulas or chase bestseller lists. He writes because there's a crowd of people in every fantasy city, and each one has their own point of view and their own story. That curiosity about how any living soul perceives their own world is the foundation that every character he creates is built upon, whether they walk the alleys of the Drowned District or stand at the gates of the High Keep.

Rodger lives in Watertown, New York, where he shares his home with Mo, the cat. Mo is an ever-present companion during creative sessions, and who likes to go on his daily walks.
