MESSAGE FROM THE PRESIDENT
Hello, everyone, and welcome to the Hobbs Seniors' Club website. The Hobbs Seniors' Club (the Club) was created in June 2018, taking over the reins from the Roy G. Hobbs Seniors' Club des aînés, which operated for 18 years as a registered non-profit organization. The Club now operates as a non-profit unincorporated association, run as a community social club by seniors for seniors. We are a small but friendly and inclusive club for those 50 and older, steered by a volunteer Board of Directors. We are firmly committed to diversity and inclusivity and promote an anti-discriminatory environment where everyone feels safe and welcome. The Club operates out of the City of Ottawa's Roy G. Hobbs Community Hall, located in Orleans, but it is not a City of Ottawa service. We are completely independent, funded solely by our members through annual membership fees and nominal user fees (see below). We are pleased to note that the facility is fully accessible.
FEES
Membership Fees: New members $30. Annual renewals thereafter: $10.
User Fees: Ranging from $1 to $6.00 per class for members, with an additional $2 per class for non-members.
Potlucks and special events will vary, depending on venue, theme, and entertainment.
If you are interested in becoming a member or would like additional information on the Club, please go to the Contact Us Page and submit an email.
