Yes, a mentor may be assigned multiple mentees, provided the mentor consents. This arrangement typically occurs when the number of mentees exceeds the available mentors.
The program runs from the end of August 2025 until the end of October 2025, spanning a total of 8-10 weeks. By applying, you commit to actively participating for the entire duration of the program.
Yes, and we encourage it. If both mentor and mentee agree, the mentorship can continue indefinitely. Please note, however, that formal program support is only provided during the official 2-month duration.
Online applications open on July 18, 2025.
Applications will be accepted until 11:59 pm on August 8, 2025.
There is no charge for mentors to participate in the program. Mentees are required to pay a small application processing fee of $60 upfront before the program starts.
HNV wishes a processing fee was not necessary; however, we believe in the value of mentoring for our members and this fee is one way to help offset administrative costs associated with processing applications, the continued delivery of program and resources for participants; and offer the prizes to the winners by the end of the program.
As this fee is related to the processing of applications at the beginning of the program, it is non-refundable. It is not related to being accepted into the program or finding a match.
We do our best to find you the best match possible given the pool of mentor candidates. However, it’s not always possible to find a mentor who meets all the specific requirements. Our primary goal is to pair every mentee with a mentor to the best of our abilities, and this may sometimes require both mentees and mentors to be flexible in their expectations about the match.
The program is designed for mentors and mentees to be initially matched based on their backgrounds and interests. Therefore, changes after matching are generally discouraged to maintain program stability. However, if significant concerns or challenges arise, participants may request a reassignment by contacting the program coordinators. Each request will be carefully reviewed on a case-by-case basis.
