Hello, my name is Aamiya Smith. I am from Greensboro, North Carolina. I am currently a junior at High Point University. I am studying Sociology & Anthropology with double minors in Spanish and Psychology. I desire to work with the current and upcoming generations of youth and families from all walks of life by providing enrichment services and resources in many different capacities.
Music has always been an integral part of my life. I've danced since I was four which immediately began to immerse me in music. In middle school, I joined band and I then went on to join the drumline. Not only did I become comfortable and more in tune with the sounds of music but I learned how to create music. These experiences helped me develop my passion and love for music. Music is an avenue for self-expression and self-discovery, and for me personally, it has also became an avenue for Christ-discovery. I've learned the true value of music and its ability to affect your life, so I'm now more conscious of the music I allow myself to hear and I associate myself more with music that will fill my soul and my spirit.
