PBIS and Hawk Store
Students earn hawk tickets when teachers catch them being Respectful, Responsible, and Ready to Learn. Admin will also award tickets to students showing School Spirit. Tickets are awarded to the student’s account in Focus and can be redeemed for treats from the Hawk Store on Fridays during lunch.

Each month, Hoover students will be encouraged to demonstrate the “learner profile of the month” in all of their classes. When teachers or staff notice a student exhibiting the learner profile of the month, the student will be awarded a hawk ticket!

“Risk-taker” is our August learner profile! Risk-takers are willing to get out of their comfort zone. They approach uncertainty with forethought and determination, and they are resourceful and resilient in the face of challenges.
Some ways a student can exhibit this learner profile:
Volunteer to speak or present
Try a new approach to a task
Be willing to disagree or offer an alternate perspective
Volunteer to work with students you’ve never worked with before
Ask challenging questions
Share an answer to a question, even if you feel nervous it may not be correct
