Extra Tidbits!

Please arrive promptly to class. 

Copy the agenda on the ClearTouch screen. 

Agendas are the KEY to organization and academic success. If can either purchase one at the office or I can supply you a weekly paper version that you put in your binder. 

Follow the social contract! It is your guide to help you stay focused!

Grading Policy:

Nine weeks grades will be calculated as follows:

Major test grades: tests, process papers, projects 50%

Minor Grades: Quizzes, class work, homework 50%

Re-takes: If a student scores below 70 on an assessment or assignment, he or she will have to retake/ redo for a maximum of 70 points. Assignments that were turned in late may not be re-taken/re-done, as it is based on teacher discretion. 

Labeling your paper: Label all assignments with your name and the date.

Turning in Your Work: All assignments are due at the beginning of class.

Returned Work: All returned work should be kept in your Language Arts or Study Skills section in your binder! DO NOT THROW AWAY RETURNED WORK!

Absent/Make-up Work:

It is your responsibility to make up any missed assignments if you are absent! Most work is posted in Schoology. Any paper copies will be in the "Absent" folder.

Academic Dishonesty: Only original work is accepted! Copying someone else's work will get you a zero and a referral to talk to a principal.
