I am a researcher and educator with a PhD in Physiology and Pharmacology from Western University, London, Ontario. My work focuses on embryonic heart development, exploring how genetic mutations and molecular mechanisms influence heart morphogenesis. Using in vivo models and iPSC-derived cardiomyocytes, I investigate the role of desmosome proteins in cardiac structure and function to better understand congenital heart defects.
As a lecturer, I’ve taught Human Physiology and Anatomy, fostering curiosity and making complex biological concepts accessible to students. I’m passionate about advancing our understanding of heart development and connecting with others in the field through collaboration and mentorship.
Open for collaborations and trainings. Feel free to reach out if you're interested in our research!
