UN Women, formally known as the United Nations Entity for Gender Equality and the Empowerment of Women, was established in 2010 by the United Nations General Assembly. The organization promotes gender equality and empowers women and girls globally. This committee addresses girls' access to education. When girls receive equal access to education, they are more likely to participate in the workforce, earn higher incomes, experience improved health outcomes, and contribute to sustainable development.
