Christine Forster, Ph.D is a Professor at the Law and Justice Faculty of the University of New South Wales in Sydney, Australia. Christine has researched in the area of gender equality and women’s human rights throughout her academic career.  In particular, Christine’s research interests include the Convention on the Elimination of all Forms of Discrimination against Women (CEDAW), gender equality laws, violence against women, family law, and gender equality issues in federalism and she has published widely in these areas. Christine also has extensive practical experience delivering gender equality training in South-East Asia and India, particularly in the area of gender equality and federalism.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Thi Lan is currently Deputy Head of the Faculty of Civil Law and a Senior Lecturer at Hanoi Law University. With more than thirty years of experience in teaching and scientific research, she has consistently pursued the goal of contributing to the advancement of legal science and the training of high-quality human resources. Her areas of in-depth expertise include marriage and family law, gender equality, and the prevention and control of domestic violence. In addition, she has actively engaged in legal consultancy, legal education and dissemination activities within the community, contributed comments to numerous draft laws, and participated in the resolution of practical legal matters, thereby bridging academic research and the practical application of law.

It can be said that Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Thi Lan has made meaningful contributions to the improvement of the legal system, the promotion and protection of human rights, children’s rights and gender equality, as well as the enhancement of legal professional practice in Viet Nam.
