Haley Lepp
I am a PhD candidate at Stanford studying the social contexts in which people build language and information technologies, and the visions of change that circulate in those contexts. My mixed-methods research draws on sociology of knowledge, critical media studies, science and technology studies, and computational linguistics. Previously, I worked as an NLP engineer and built digital education programs for students in Jordan, Iraq, and the U.S. I love learning languages and am currently practicing Shami Arabic and Latin American Spanish.Â
