There are several open positions for the upcoming 2026-27 school year:

• Secretary – Attend meetings regularly and take minutes, email them to the committee.

• Decoration Chair – Pick 3 themes for the committee to vote on. Get creative and plan how to carry out the theme. In prior years the chair has created “take home projects” where volunteers can assemble decorations at home. 

• Webmaster – No complex technology skills needed. Update our page using Google sites, a drag and drop application. 

• Newsletter – Update events and fundraisers on a monthly basis (or other interval to be determined)

• Entertainment – Select activities, submit necessary paperwork to vendors, etc. This position is well documented from prior years so should be a smooth transition for the new chair.

• Donations – Not required to attend all meetings.

  • Community & Corporate - Email, mail, or complete online donation requests.

  • Direct Mail – Work with a printer to send our annual appeal to all HK towns.

• Thank You/Acknowledgements – Not required to attend meetings. Write and mail thank you notes to donors. Post thank you signs in June.

• Volunteer Recruitment – Not required to attend all meetings, attendance in April, May & June is needed. In the spring create a signup genius for volunteers to decorate, chaperone, cleanup…etc.
