Under Saddle
The under saddle is judged on the rider's spacing, use of the arena, ring etiquette, transitions and smoothness. Turn out and attire influence the rider's score by 30%.
Riders may be asked to halt, walk, trot, collect the canter and extend the canter.
Huntseat Equitation Medal
Open to horses only. Open to all riders.
Over Fences
The over fences is judged on the riders use of the arena, turns, corners, straightness and centeredness over jumps. Turn out and attire influences the rider's score by 30%.
The huntseat medal features advanced level hunter courses. Handy turns are preferred.
Work Off
The top riders from the over fences class may be called back to complete a work off. The work off may be an under saddle class, a shortened version of the course, or a written/verbal test.
Jumpseat Equitation Medal
