Hi, I’m Jamie! I graduated from Douglas J, class of 2014. Since then I’ve happily worked at one salon. It was there that I learned the techniques and skills that helped make me a unique and diverse stylist. Which in turn gave me the confidence to make my own way in this industry! I have traveled across country to attend workshops and conventions that really opened my eyes to what can be done with hair. I love having a job where I can create hairstyles and colors that range from traditional to get up and go to bold and fashionable.

I’m both a little sassy and a bit shy, often awkwardly funny. Kitties are the cutest and my family is the bestest. Book an appointment with me so I can tell you all about them!

Nice to meet you, I'm Lexan! Before realizing that Cosmetology was my calling, I received my Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Adrian College. My background in painting, sculpture, and photography heavily influences how I approach hair color and design. My absolute favorite services are fashion colors, hair extensions, and drastic transformations. Though I love to get funky, I also love providing every client with just what they need. 

I got my start in the industry working in a salon that was focused in education and growth. I will always be grateful for everything I learned there. My cosmetology training was completed at Douglas J in 2018. Since then, I have prioritized furthering my education by attaining 6 hair extension certifications, and attending numerous classes, workshops and conventions with heavy focus on the brand Redken. 

I spend my time outside the studio chasing around two tiny human gremlins, and two hairless cats, while balancing DIY home projects and putting together fierce dopamine fashion ensembles.

Hey there! I'm Ursa, a queer, neurodivergent hairstylist that has been licensed since 2016. I gained my experience at various salons across Michigan. I specialize in a wide range of hair cutting techniques, from short and edgy to long and flowing, and everything in between. I also love doing vivid hair color, bringing rainbow hair creations to life is my passion. 

When I'm not at the salon, you can find me enjoying time with my cat, knitting, crocheting, or drawing. I cherish these hobbies as they keep me creative and grounded.

Throughout the last year and a half, I’ve delved more into the world of barbering, where I’ve enjoyed using my creativity, technical skill, and attention to detail to tailor styles which highlight someone’s best attributes. I specialize in cutting and shaping a variety of styles, hair types, and textures. Outside the salon, I enjoy nature, foraging, music, and exploring different visual art forms. I love animals of all kinds but especially my two playful cats.
