The Wright Brothers

In This Module

The Wright brothers successfully flew the first manned, powered flight on December 17, 1903. This lesson is intended to be a supplement to the course textbook. Below you will find a video that summarizes some of the traditional biographical details for Wilbur and Orville Wright. You can also explore the Wright's first flight at Kitty Hawk through the carousel of images from the NPS site below. This module simply augments the assigned readings.
