The history room is a space located behind the information desk at the Williams Visitors Center on 200 W Railroad Blvd. The room is dedicated to displaying aspects of the unique history of Williams, Arizona. The displays include photos and other items representing Williams history like a collection of items found during the renovation of the Red Garter building. Other displays cover historical topics such as railroads, logging, military service, schools, ranching and travel along Route 66.
A new display on sheep raising was just developed by Kathy and Mike Benham thanks to a generous donation made by Kathy Aleman, a member of a family who, like the Pouquettes, Ajoa, Manterolas, and Auzas, to name a few, have been grazing sheep on the National Forest for almost 100 years.
