Mission: To collect, catalog, and preserve historic
images, documents, oral histories and memorabilia that represent the history of Williams, Arizona, and the surrounding area.
General Information
The Williams Historic Photo project maintains both digital and hard copy files that include documents, maps, photos, scrapbook, books and other ephemera. All of the digital and hard copy files are cataloged and located in a locked room at the visitors center in Williams. The digital material includes scanned photos, maps, documents and oral histories. The hard copy material includes hanging files that are listed in a searchable catalog and organized by historic topics associated with the history of Williams and the broader Williams area. The hard copy information includes a variety of maps, books, school year books, and ephemera like post cards. Majority of the historic resources are secondary, but there are a few primary sources or direct copies of primary sources.
Historic images and documents are preserved by converting them to digital format.
