Historically Redacted: Manifesting Queer Poets is a poetry workshop that works to fight LGBTQ+ discrimination and addresses LGBTQ+ history through highlighting LGBTQ+ poets from throughout history. These workshops will inform people about the history of discrimination that bleeds into education and literature that lead to erasure of LGBTQ+ poets in those spaces, while also encouraging people to create poetry, and will uplift past, present, and future queer voices. It will do so through informational curriculum sessions on past LGBTQ+ poets and through poetry workshops that allow the guests to tap into their poetic side, and maybe even share some poetry.
