I pondered for years before finally deciding on this as my Girl Scout Gold Award project. After coming up with this idea for a project, I realized I could not have thought of it before, that I needed to grow more into myself before fining this project. 

After discovering my passion for both poetry and history, I wanted to explore using the medium to highlight the unspoken, quiet, and hidden parts of history that some people don't want us to see. I wanted to be able to share the poets of past and old that had not been recognized and had even been forgotten due to the discrimination and erasure of so much LGBTQ+ history and it's community's people.

This project is about giving voice and light to the queer poets of past, present, and future.
