hiSpy (“hiSpy,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) respects your privacy and is committed to protecting information associated with your use of the hiSpy mobile application (the “App”).
This Privacy Policy explains what information may be collected or processed when you use hiSpy, how that information is used, when information may be shared with third-party service providers, and the choices and rights available to you.
By using hiSpy, you acknowledge the practices described in this Privacy Policy.
hiSpy provides features that may use your device's camera, magnetic sensors, and local network.
A core privacy principle of hiSpy is that information used for certain detection features is processed locally on your device where technically applicable.
hiSpy may request access to your device's camera to provide camera-based detection and scanning functionality.
Camera images and camera data used for these detection features are processed locally on your device and are not transmitted to our servers for analysis.
We do not operate a server-side database for storing camera images captured or analyzed through these detection features.
hiSpy may access magnetic field measurements or other relevant sensor information available through your device to provide magnetic detection functionality.
Magnetic sensor data used by this feature is processed locally on your device and is not transmitted to our servers for analysis.
hiSpy may request permission to access your local network in order to discover and analyze devices visible on the network to which your device is connected.
Information generated as part of the local network scanning functionality is processed locally for the purpose of providing the requested feature.
Network scan results are not transmitted to our servers for analysis or storage.
Depending on your device, operating system, and network configuration, locally processed information may include technical information such as:
IP addresses of devices visible on the local network;
device or host information;
network identifiers;
device type or category information; and
other technical information necessary to identify devices visible on the local network.
The availability and accuracy of this information depend on the operating system, device permissions, and network configuration.
Although camera detection data, magnetic sensor data, and local network scan results are not sent to our servers for analysis, hiSpy uses third-party services to help us understand application performance, diagnose technical problems, measure usage, manage subscriptions, and improve the App.
Depending on your device settings, consent choices, operating system, and the third-party service involved, these services may process information such as:
device type and model;
operating system and version;
App version;
language and region;
general App usage and interaction information;
session information;
crash logs;
diagnostic information;
performance information;
subscription and purchase status;
advertising or attribution identifiers, where permitted;
IP address or approximate location inferred from an IP address where processed by a service provider; and
other technical identifiers necessary to operate, secure, measure, or improve the App.
We do not intend for analytics or diagnostic events to contain the camera images, magnetic sensor readings, or local network scan results generated by hiSpy's detection features.
hiSpy uses third-party service providers that may process certain information according to their own privacy policies.
These providers include:
We may use Google Firebase services for application infrastructure, analytics, performance measurement, and related functionality.
Firebase may process device information, application interactions, identifiers, and other technical information depending on the Firebase services enabled in the App.
We use Firebase Crashlytics to identify crashes, errors, and technical problems within the App.
Crashlytics may process information such as device information, operating system information, App state, crash logs, technical identifiers, and diagnostic information.
This information helps us diagnose crashes and improve the reliability and stability of hiSpy.
We use Adapty to assist with subscription management, paywall functionality, purchase-related analytics, and subscription status.
Adapty may process information relating to subscription status, purchases, App interactions associated with subscription functionality, device information, and technical identifiers as necessary to provide its services.
Payments made through the Apple App Store are processed by Apple. hiSpy does not receive or store your complete payment card information.
We use Adjust for attribution, measurement, and analytics.
Depending on your device settings, consent status, applicable law, and Apple's platform requirements, Adjust may process certain device, attribution, advertising, installation, and application interaction information.
Where Apple's App Tracking Transparency framework or other applicable consent requirements apply, access to information requiring such permission is subject to the applicable system permission and your choices.
hiSpy may request certain device permissions in order to provide its features.
Depending on the features you use, these permissions may include:
Camera access may be required to provide camera-based scanning and detection functionality.
Denying camera permission may prevent camera-related features from functioning.
Local network access may be required to discover devices connected to or visible on your local network.
Denying this permission may prevent network scanning functionality from operating correctly.
Certain features may use sensors available on your device, including magnetic field sensors, where supported.
Sensor information used for magnetic detection is processed locally on your device.
You can control certain permissions through your device's operating system settings.
Information processed through hiSpy or our service providers may be used to:
provide and operate the App;
provide features requested by you;
maintain App functionality;
diagnose crashes and technical errors;
monitor application stability and performance;
understand general usage patterns;
improve features and user experience;
manage subscriptions and premium access;
display and optimize subscription paywalls;
measure installations and attribution;
prevent fraud, abuse, or misuse;
protect the security and integrity of the App;
comply with applicable legal obligations; and
enforce our Terms of Use.
We do not use locally processed camera images, magnetic sensor readings, or network scan results for advertising.
hiSpy may use attribution and measurement technologies, including Adjust, to understand how users discover and interact with the App and to measure marketing performance.
Some attribution or advertising-related processing may be subject to Apple's App Tracking Transparency requirements.
Where permission is required by Apple's policies or applicable law, tracking requiring such permission will only occur in accordance with the permission or consent presented to you.
You may change applicable privacy or tracking permissions through your iOS settings.
hiSpy offers premium functionality through subscription plans, which may include weekly and yearly subscriptions.
Subscriptions purchased through the Apple App Store are processed by Apple.
We do not directly collect or store your full credit card or payment card details for App Store purchases.
We and our subscription service provider, Adapty, may receive or process information necessary to determine subscription status and provide premium functionality. This may include information such as:
subscription status;
product or subscription identifier;
purchase and renewal information;
expiration status;
transaction-related identifiers; and
other information necessary to verify premium access.
This information may be used to provide purchased features, restore purchases, manage subscription access, troubleshoot purchase issues, and analyze subscription performance.
We do not sell camera images, magnetic sensor data, or local network scan results.
We may share or permit processing of limited information by service providers when necessary to operate, maintain, analyze, secure, and improve hiSpy.
These service providers may include providers of:
analytics;
crash reporting;
subscription management;
attribution and measurement;
cloud infrastructure; and
technical services.
We may also disclose information when reasonably necessary to comply with applicable law, legal process, enforceable governmental requests, protect our legal rights, investigate fraud or abuse, or protect the security of users and the Services.
Camera information, magnetic sensor readings, and local network scan results described as locally processed in this Privacy Policy are not stored on our servers as part of those detection features.
Information processed by our third-party service providers may be retained according to our configuration of those services and the applicable provider's retention policies.
We seek to retain information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, including operational, security, analytical, legal, and compliance purposes.
We take reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect information associated with the operation of hiSpy.
However, no electronic transmission, software application, storage system, or method of processing can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
